Build your public profile

The page couples and other vendors see.

Why this matters

This is the page a couple lands on when they find you in the Collective, and the page you can link to from your own website or Instagram. It is also where your services and prices are listed, so it does double duty: it is your shop window and it is the source the app builds quotes from.

Do this

  1. Go to your profile
Home → Build your public profile, or the profile item in the left nav.
  2. Add your business name and a tagline
The tagline is the one line under your name in the directory. One clear sentence beats three clever ones — “St. Louis wedding DJ, 12 years, 400+ weddings” does more than “creating unforgettable moments”.
  3. Write a short bio
Three or four sentences. Who you work with, what a couple gets, where you cover.
  4. Add photos
Your best work first. The first image is the one that shows in the directory card.
  5. Publish it
Until you publish, the page is a draft and the link 404s for anybody you send it to.

You’ll know it worked when

Your profile is published. Open the public link in a private window — if you can see it while signed out, so can a couple.

If it doesn’t go to plan

Published but nobody can find you? Publishing and being LISTED are two different switches — see Let couples find you.

If you are a…

DJs. Put your genres and whether you MC in the bio. It is the first thing couples filter on and the last thing most DJ profiles mention.

Photographers & videographers. Lead with a gallery, not words. Say your turnaround time in the bio — it is the question you will otherwise answer in every single enquiry.

Coordinators. Say which of full planning, partial and day-of you actually take, and your minimum. It filters out the enquiries you were going to decline anyway.
