Celestial Collective

Your music

The must-plays, the do-not-plays, and a list your DJ actually reads.

About 6 mins

Why this matters

A DJ asks for three lists and usually receives one, late. Building them here means your DJ reads the same record you wrote — if they are on Celestial they see it live, and if they are not you can hand it over as a file.

Do this

  1. Sort songs into the moments
First dance, parents’ dances, the cake, the send-off — and the do-not-play list, which is the one every DJ wishes they had earlier.
  2. Bring in a playlist you already have
If you have been collecting songs somewhere else, import rather than retyping.
  3. Export it if your DJ is not on Celestial
A spreadsheet they can open, with the moment each song belongs to.

You’ll know it worked when

Every named moment has a song against it, and your do-not-play list is not empty (it never should be).

If it doesn’t go to plan

Added a song on your phone and cannot see it on a laptop? The list is one record shared with the client portal, so give it a moment and a refresh — it is the same list, not a copy.
