Why this matters
Accepting a proposal used to mean a message you had to notice, then twenty
minutes of typing the same details into a new event, a new contact and a new
contract. All three already existed in the proposal they just agreed to.
Do this
- You send a proposal to a lead
The lead moves to Working on its own.
- They accept it at their own link
No account, no password.
- Everything is created in one go
The contact, the event, the pipeline entry, a draft contract carrying the proposal's title, and the lead moves to Converted.
- You are told twice
An email — “They said yes” — and a notification in the app.
- You send the contract
It is already drafted and waiting on the event. That is the only step left for you.
You’ll know it worked when
An email lands in your inbox and a notification appears in the app. Open the
event and the draft contract is there.
If it doesn’t go to plan
If they DECLINE instead, the proposal is marked declined and the lead moves
to Lost automatically, so you stop chasing a decision that has been made. They
are not asked to create an account in order to say no.
